Dear All,
The Scholars GeoPortal is a centralized repository of provincial and national geospatial data for all 21 Ontario Council of University Libraries (OCUL) universities. As this platform is nearing its 10-year mark, it is in need of redevelopment to continue functioning. This also presents an opportunity to explore what changes and updates could help continue to meet future needs in a way that is sustainable and adaptive.
As part of this project, members of the GeoPortal Business Case Working Group are looking to gather feedback from faculty, researchers, and instructors who use the Scholars GeoPortal to investigate the current strengths and gaps of the platform. This assessment will provide the working group with case studies across multiple Ontario institutions of the general and specific use of the GeoPortal, as well as GIS and geospatial data more broadly. This information will be used to develop our recommendations for the future direction of the GeoPortal.
Thank you for your participation.
