AIMLComm: A Community of Practice
for AI and Machine Learning in Libraries
AIMLComm
is a new Community of Practice established by the
Ontario Council of University Libraries
(OCUL) to facilitate the exchange of ideas and advances by library staff regarding AI and machine learning in Canadian academic libraries.
The Community includes discussions (channels) for a wide variety of interests including technical issues, use cases, user implications, ethical considerations, policy concerns, and any other relevant issue participants wish to discuss.
It is important to note that this Community is for all those interested in this area. It expected that the Community will attract and engage people with a wide and diverse set of interests. It is not just a technical forum.
AIMLComm
will assist in building capacity within Canadian research libraries to better understand and respond to the challenges and opportunities of this technology.
The Community will be shepherded by moderators and governed by a
code of conduct
that models acceptable behaviour on the site.
AIMLComm
uses the
Mattermost
platform hosted by Scholars Portal.
If you are interested in participating in this Community of Practice, please complete the following form and you will be enrolled in the Community by a member of the coordinating group.
